Lifebook For Every Child

Washoe County Department of Social Services, along with Sierra Association of Foster Families is sponsoring the Lifebook for Every Child Program. Treasured Memories is proud to be a part of this collaboration to help children in foster care preserve their childhood memories by making a personal lifebook. If you have any extra scrapbook supplies you are no longer using, or don’t need, you can donate them to this very good cause. We have a basket in our workshop where we accept all kinds of donations. They truly do appreciate everything and anything you can donate.

You can also donate pages!!!

Don't forget, you can also donate completed 8 1/2 "x 11" pages to the Lifebooks Program. Pages for babies, school, birthdays, friends, or generic all work great. Be sure to make mats for the layouts to save space for their photos.
Thank you so much for all you do!
You are definitely appreciated.

We have had so many wonderful responses from this amazing program. Our customers have donated their time and talents to provide scrapbook supplies and pages to the foster families of Northern Nevada.

Here is a portion of one letter we received:

~Greetings from the heart! Even though you don't know me, I know of you. I was amazing to hear how you all so very kindly went the extra mile just to help us in the foster care system... to the tune of preparing over 250 pages for Lifebooks. Wow! I was so awed/appreciated your TLC just for the cause that I wanted to thank you all.

When picking up some of your pages down at SAFF, I often wondered who had the time/talent to do those pages. Cile helped me understand how her "elves" gathered together to bless foster parents and the Lifebook effort. We felt relieved that the memory book actually was completed the day before our foster baby flew away to Ohio. I put all the writing in her lingo, from "her perspective". At times, these books are all the history we have available during days of foster care, right?
Thanks again... Appreciative Alice W.~
